The DecAID Advisor is a planning tool intended to help provide the best available data and information to managers as they conserve and manage snags, partially dead trees, and down wood for biodiversity in Oregon and Washington

DecAID is based on:

• A meta-analysis of data on species use and association with dead wood
• An analysis of vegetation inventory data providing information on the amounts and distribution of dead wood across Oregon and Washington landscapes
• Synthesis of information on insects and diseases that create dead wood
