Welcome to DATIM!

News and Alerts:
  • 11/23/2021 11:47:59 AM: Warning: FIA’s Alaska inventory is not spatially complete and FIA inventory unit boundaries do not follow Alaska’s borough and census area boundaries or ecoregions. Therefore estimates and statistics based on these spatial features may be misleading. For more information, please refer to FIA Tools and Data.
  • 11/9/2021 12:39:20 PM: The use of actual plots locations in the Spatial Intersection Tool, SIT, has been temporarily disabled. We apologize for the inconvenience. The feature will be returning as soon as possible.
  • 11/9/2021 10:34:54 AM: There is a known issue with ATIM Live reports regarding temporal selections in change reports. If users select Inventory Year for the page, row or column, only the Current temporal option is recognized and used for reports even if a different temporal selection is made.
  • 11/8/2021 10:07:01 AM: The report options for Excel and xml output have both been disabled in version 15.1. We are working on an update to the Excel format report output.
  • 11/3/2021 2:48:13 PM: ATIM reports using either County, Unit, or NFS Administrative Forest Code ALP as the column format selection will result in inaccurate results in both the Excel and XML output. This issue is not present with HTML output. We are working on a resolution to this problem.
The Design and Analysis Toolkit for Inventory and Monitoring (DATIM) is a suite of software tools used for designing inventory and monitoring programs and analyzing the results of those programs.

With the exception of the Spatial Intersection Tool (SIT), you do not need to login to use DATIM. To access advanced features, such as saving your work to the DATIM server, please login.

To get started, select one of the tools below.

Analysis Tool for Inventory and Monitoring (ATIM)
Generate reports of estimate summary attributes for an area of interest and survey year. Users can select existing analysis datasets for use in reporting. Advanced users (login required) can create new analysis datasets.

Design Tool for Inventory and Monitoring (DTIM)
Design an inventory and monitoring plan to address specific information needs by identifying objectives, questions and metrics.

Spatial Intersection Tool (SIT)
Perform spatial intersections between plot-based data and user-selected geospatial layers, and return map attributes for use in ATIM summaries.
