Stem Decay and Root Disease Species List in -

Tables on this screen are not specific to any structural condition class. Click on the "I&D Species List" button to view a list of insects and pathogens, and ther impacts on wildlife habitat by structural condition class.

The "unharvested" plots include only those where there was no evidence of tree cutting of any kind and there was no evidence of roads. The "harvested" plots include the remainder of the plots.

Be cautious when using percentages of plots or trees per hectare for a category which are represented by low numbers of plots.

Table EMC_ECB. fid_8a. Percent of the number of trees per hectare, by species, > 50-cm (20 in) DBH which were identified as having heart rot caused by unidentified decay fungi, Phellinus pini (red ring rot), Echinodontium tinctorium (Indian paint fungus or brown stringy rot), or Phaeolus schweinitzii (Schweinitzii root and butt rot or velvet top fungus) in unharvested plots in Eastside (Interior) Mixed Conifer Forest, East Cascades/Blue Mountains. These are data from Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management inventories only, and do not include the the FIA inventory on State and private lands.
