Layer: Conservation Finance Opportunities (ID: 0)

Name: Conservation Finance Opportunities

Display Field: FORESTNAME

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolygon

Description: The model calculates WNI (index range: 1-3) and PRI (index range: 1-3) to generate a possible sum of 0 to 6. This range is divided into three groups using equal intervals to identify Low, Medium and High CFO Index. Since WNI is generated by watershed and PRI is generated by forest, there are two approaches to evaluate Conservation Finance Opportunity: by forest or by watershed. This layer shows conservation finance opportunities by forest. Overlay WNI (watershed) and PRI (forest), summarize the WNI using forest boundary as the input geometry to find the average WNI within a forest. Add the resulting Mean WNI to PRI. Create Low, Medium, High index using equal interval breaks: Summarize WNI by forest (WNI_Mean): WNIMean 0 – 0.66 0.67 – 1.27 1.28 – 2.71 Take resulting Mean Watershed Needs Index and add to Partnership Readiness Index: (WNI_Mean) + (Partnership_Readiness_Index) = WNIMean_PRI_Sum Create final CFO_Index by forest from results: WNIMean_PRI_Sum CFO_Index 0 - 2.59 1 2.6 - 3.9 2 4 - 5 3
