Description: INFISH Priority Watershed: A subwatershed (6th field watershed) designated as a priority for conservation and restoration of bull trout habitat under INFISH. INFISH priority watersheds are a component of the no action and alternative B. INFISH priority watersheds are replaced by key watersheds in the proposed action, and alternatives R, P, and O.

Description: Key Watershed: A subwatershed designated for restoration and protection through the forest plan revision process based on the presence of focal aquatic species and habitat condition. Key watersheds serve as strongholds for important aquatic resources, or have the potential to do so. They are areas crucial to threatened or endangered fish and aquatic species of concern and/or interest, and/or areas that provide high quality water important for maintenance of downstream populations. Management emphasizes minimizing risk and maximizing restoration or retention of ecological health. Key watersheds are a component of the proposed action, and alternatives R, P, and O. The key watershed network under the proposed action was updated to reflect more robust data available since the release of the proposed action to the public. Therefore, the key water in alternatives R, P, and O is different than the key watershed network in the proposed action.
