Service Description: A map service on the www that depicts eligible, eligible/suitable, eligible/not suitable, and ineligible rivers found in wild and scenic river studies performed by the Forest Service, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Fish and Wild Life Service. These studies were performed on rivers on both public and private land, including NPS land. The spatial data was derived from river segments from the National Hydrography Dataset (NHD), a feature-based database that interconnects and uniquely identifies the stream segments or reaches that make up the nation's surface water drainage system at a 1:24,000 scale. This feature class also includes information about the source documentation pertaining to the spatially connected river segments.
