This project will address manufacturing and sustainability issues facing the primary and secondary wood industries of South Carolina, using experienced manufacturing specialists, wood industry experts, educational resources, and forestry service resources in partnership to affect the greatest value for the industry, and for the individual wood industry clients assisted.
1. Market technology, business solutions and hardwood industry resources, education and Best Management Practices to primary and secondary wood product manufacturers in South Carolina.
2. Conduct on-site visits and perform manufacturing business assessments that lead to individual prioritized improvement plans for these hardwood manufacturers.
3. Provide improvement plan implementation assistance at hardwood manufacturers (which may include training, coaching, technology projects, etc.)
4. Evaluate individual client engagement value and estimate hardwood sustainability value.
5. Evaluate client engagements for strategic industry changes and define strategic program implementation strategy.

The South Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership implemented a targeted program called, Eureka! Winning Ways. The program focused on technology as well as business and marketing solutions aimed at improving regional wood products businesses.
