This dataset is intended for read-only use. The purpose of these data is to provide Forest Service Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) parcels to the Trust for Public Lands (TPL) so the data can be published in a web map developed by TPL. The web map also includes LWCF projects from other agencies.
This dataset represents Forest Service lands or land rights acquired using Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) funds. It is not a complete representation of all Forest Service land acquisitions; only those that used LWCF funds.

Data quality is ensured through regional implementation of quality assurance levels, recommened practices, QA reports generated from database queries, and topology checks. Quality control measures taken: this feature class is populated by an automated translation process from the source feature class that is edited and maintained by the data stewards. Only stewards with proper role grants can edit the data. The application used for editing has built in controls to only allow valid geometry and domains to control attribute integrity.
